- Grease a large baking dish or pan generously with cooking spray. Add the dough and press it down to cover the whole area of the dish/ pan.
- Cover with a damp dish towel and place in a warm area to rise for about 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190°C.
- In a bowl, mix the chakalaka with the cream.
- Once the dough has risen, brush the melted butter over and press the dough down with your fingers.
- Spread the chakalaka-cream mixture evenly over and press it into the dough with your fingers, right down to the bottom of the dish.
- Evenly scatter the cheddar over and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the dough bounces back and the cheese is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
