Homemade Cheese Spread Dip

- 250g smooth cream- or cottage cheese
- 100g (1cup) Ladismith Gouda, finely grated
- Salt to taste
- Black or white pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika or cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp. Ladismith salted butter melted
- Milk or cream, for consistency
Method
- Place the cream or cottage cheese in a food processor and blitz for 30 seconds to make it soft and warm it up slightly.
- Add the Gouda, salt, pepper, paprika or cayenne pepper, and melted butter. Process for 1-2 minutes at intervals to blend everything. Adjust seasoning as per taste and add a dash of milk or cream for a smoother and runnier texture.
- Store refrigerated for up to 1 to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
- For easier spreading, let the spread go to room temperature for about 20 minutes before using. Enjoy!
