- Gradually add the self-raising flour and garlic powder, stirring until the batter is lump-free and well combined. Fold in the grated Edam into the batter.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into the greased tart pan or cake pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Optional: Decorate the top with sundred tomatoes and jalapeños.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and set.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
