- Melt the Spreado, caster sugar and water in a pan over gentle heat.
- Add the syrup and keep stirring over the heat until the sugar is completely melted. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
- To test your mixture, start by dropping a tiny bit into a small bowl of ice-cold water. If it immediately hardens, you’re ready to add the peanuts. If it doesn’t, continue to boil and then repeat the test. – About 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the peanuts until all the peanuts are covered in the syrup.
- Carefully pour the mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and leave to harden for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled and set, cut the brittle into pieces. Store in an air-tight container.
